Kerbside collections:
A borough wide kerbside scheme collecting:
- Glass, cans and foil - collected in a green recycling box (blue week)
- Paper and cardboard - collected in clear recycling bags (blue week)
- Clothes and shoes - collected in clearly marked, tied bags (blue week)
- Mixed plastics - collected in clear recycling bags, non-food and food packaging eg yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, trays, plastic bottles, including lids, plastic film eg carrier bags, cling film, bubble wrap, household items eg plastic kitchen utensils, buckets, bowls (green week)
- Garden waste - collected in white reusable sacks, limited to four sacks per household (green week)
Clear recycling sacks are provided to all households on the kerbside collection scheme once a year together with black refuse bags.
Please note this collection scheme does not apply to all households in this district. Most large blocks of flats have shared recycling bins for glass bottles and jars, cans and foil, and paper and card. Please contact your local council to find out what collections your property receives.
