Kerbside collections:
- All households have a fortnightly kerbside collection of newspapers, magazines, catalogues, directories, mixed paper - bundled or in carrier bags.
- All households have a fortnightly kerbside collection of cardboard, plastic packaging (including plastic bottles pots, tubs, containers, trays, bottle tops, cups and carrier bags), cans, aerosols, clean aluminium foil and foil containers - collected in clear sacks.
- 42,000 households have a fortnightly collection of green waste and uncooked kitchen waste. A garden waste amenity vechicle visits the remaining villages on a monthly basis between March and November.

Approx 125 banks around the district collecting glass bottles and jars, some also accept cans, paper, plastic bottles and textiles. Use Recycle Now Bank Locator to find your nearest site.
